What’s even better is that - while still maintaining the essence of Sherlock canon - readers also get to delve into the torrid world of Hollywood. Their interesting dichotomy somehow allows them to just fit with one another whether as co-stars or partners, they just fit. If it makes sense: John and Sherlock’s differences make them that much more alike. What I think draws most people to this story is that it’s a creative, very inventive twist that still manages to encompass everything that Sherlock and John are.
